There are 5 ordinary dog allergies which comprise flea allergy, inhalant allergy, food allergy and skin allergy. Up to forty percent of dogs that have been examined have proven positive for flea allergy. Inhalant allergies, also known as atopy, include pollen, mold, mildew, and dust mites. Dogs suffer from food allergies on a yearly basis other than a seasonal basis like atopy. Skin allergies include ringworm and mange which are fungal diseases. 3 of the more ordinary dogs that incur these health maladies are golden retrievers, poodles, and bull dogs.

A few of the medical issues that you should be alert for include breathing problems, poor eyesight, skin infections and hip & knee problems. Some of the symptoms include chewing, scratching, hair loss, and ear infections. You should schedule an exam if your pet shows these symptoms. Their health depends on you!
